I just finished my dissertation, Mobile Hybridity: Supporting Personal and Romantic Relationships with Mobile Phones in Digitally Emergent Spaces.
Research experience
- Research internship at Microsoft Research India with the Technology in Emerging Markets group studying how young people use mobile phones to support their personal and romantic relationships.
- Research assistant on a joint project between Technical Communication and Microsoft studying use of MSN Messenger on PC and mobiles.
- Member of the Internet-Based Research Group focusing on unobtrusive methods for studying users and conducting remote experiments.
- Research assistant on a project studying information and communication technologies in Central Asia.
- Research internship at Sandia National Labs studying group communication and collaboration.
- User research internship at Google doing usability testing and early-stage research.
