finished orange tabby scarf

A basic scarf done in two colors for a nice checked pattern. The pattern is a slip stitch mosaic so only one color is worked per row. I think the scarf looks like a tabby cat with the stripes. The back with the orange floats is not super beautiful, but I think it is interesting in its own right. Finished December 2005.

Pattern: A 24 row repeat pattern where 12 rows are devoted to the alternating stocking stitch yellow/garter stitch stripe and 12 rows are devoted to the alternating garter stitch stripe/stocking stitch yellow. The pattern is done over 6 stitches where there are 3 stitches in the stocking stitch yellow square and 3 stitches in the garter stitch stripe square. In the orange rows, the stitches of the yellow stocking stitch squares are slipped and the orange is floated in the back.
