bolero with lace trim around edges

A cute little bolero that is not difficult to make -- just annoying. The lace trim for the sleeves is knit on but the rest of the lace trim is sewn on. The lace trim caused me to set aside this project for about 5 months. Completed March 2006.

Pattern: Lace trim bolero from Spring/Summer 2005 Vogue Knitting.

Pattern Modifications: Since the pattern was a smidge too big with its 36" bust, I shaved off a few stitches from the front and back. For the back: Cast on 95 stitches (instead of 99). For the front: Cast on 32 stitches (instead of 34). For lace trim of sleeves: Pick up and knit 73 stitches (instead of 75).

Yarn Brand: Dalegarn Svale 5812 (50% cotton, 40% viscose, 10% silk)
