a few rows completed of the body
Progress picture #1: Just starting out with a few rows. This piece includes the front and back.

a lot more rows completed of the body
Progress picture #2: The body is almost completely done. Soon, the front will be cast off and the closure flap will be continued from the back stitches.

the whole knitted piece
Progress picture #3: The knitting is all done. Now the side and the bottom need to be seamed up and the flap trimmed with single crochet border and a crochet chain buttonhole loop. This picture shows the flap in seed stitch. The gauge ended up too big for the bag (the flap wouldn't lie smooth) so I changed the flap to a 2 st, 3 row knit and purl checkerboard pattern.
