A pouch for a small cell phone. It closes with a button on top. The body of the pouch is knit seamlessly in a cable and lace pattern from Harmony Guides' 250 Creative Knitting Stitches. I did three cables each for the front and back with 2 stitches of reverse stocking stitch along the sides to separate the front and back. The opening of the pouch was done in a 2X2 rib for 6 rows with a 2 stitch, 1 row opening for a buttonhole. The bottom was seamed shut with a crochet chain. In retrospect, the cable and lace is a little too big and chunky for such a small design -- you can't really appreciate the pattern. I would do a smaller scale cable next time. Completed December 2002. [Update: lost somewhere on the street January 2004.]
