striped baby booties
Easy project done on straight needles. The yarn is a soft acrylic with a bit of a fuzz. Next time, I would do the soles of the booties in a solid color instead of in stripes. I modified the pattern by eliminating one row after the instep has been shaped but before the sole is worked on because the gauge for my yarn was slightly different from the one specified in the pattern. Completed February 2002.
Pattern: from Baby Style by Debbie Bliss
Pattern Modification: Omit one row from the foot so that it is shorter vertically.
Yarn Brand: Red Heart Soft in 7675 Dark Yellow Green, 7672 Light Green Yellow
Quantity: 1 skein each color
Needles: Size 3 straight needles
Gauge: garter stitch 25 sts and 52 rows to 10 cm.
